Yikes!  Someone didn't pay their property taxes!

In 1938 A.B. Lowery purchased many of the beachfront lots in Gulf Shore Manor from the county tax collector.  These lots were replatted in the 1990'2 as the subdivisions Jasmine Dunes and Sea Walk.

The lots were purchased for the amount of unpaid property taxes.  A sum of $214.57.

In 1984 Walton County court case 84-368CA A.B. Lowery (in blue) and Harold Foshee (in pink) were declared owners in fee simple title to the land depicted as Gulf Shore Beach and Bathing Beach.
