JUNE 2021
RENOVATIONS COMPLETE
ACCESS OPEN
Renovations started January 2021 and are expected to be completed by mid-May 2021.
The boardwalk to the beach will be closed during the renovation, as will the bathrooms and parking lot. There will be signs directing people to access the beach through the Pelayo or San Juan accesses. You can still use the beach at Santa Clara via those alternative access points.
The county has contracted out the boardwalk replacement and will make other improvements with their own crews.
Other improvements include: hardscape, landscape, bike racks, rinse showers, and benches.
You should let your guests and rental management companies know about this.
Jay Tusa from the Tourist Development Council will be asking the Walton County Board of County Commissioners to approve the $478,136.00 contract on Tuesday, November 10th, 2020.
