How to File a Beach Code Compliance Complaint
Go to visitsouthwalton.com/violation OR click on the form below
It takes under a minute to file a code complaint if you think you see a potential violation to the Walton County Beach Activities Ordinance at any of the regional or neighborhood beach accesses.
If the violation is on private property, only the property owner can file a code complaint.
In Gulf Shore Manor the public access borders are marked by blue poles. You can determine the eastern and western boundaries of the accesses by standing on the sandy beach and lining the two poles up with each other.

Common Beach Code Compliance Complaints would be;
1. Vendors setting up chairs & umbrellas at neighborhood beach accesses that are less than 70 feet wide. In Gulf Shore Manor this means that Pelayo, Montigo, San Juan and Dothan/Barcelona do not allow vendors.
2. Finding charred wood from a bonfire. This should be reported the following morning of the bonfire so the code officer can trace it back to whoever had a bonfire permit at that location.
3. Finding personal or vendor beach items stored under a neighborhood access walkover.

The address for each neighborhood access is on the sign at the bottom of the walk over. If you don't know the address make sure to click the "locate me" tab near the bottom of the form. This also helps the code enforcement officer know the exact location of the potential violation you are reporting.
